She didn’t graduate from high school and she got great jobs in top notch companies, developed excellent skill sets in the customer service, project management & information technology fields, and has a bit of a retirement fund. She made some, many, not so great choices as a teen & young adult that caused her & people she cares about much pain and she developed an amazing capacity and ability for compassion, forgiveness, selfless service, inclusion, a strong awareness, willingness and ability to self-reflect and correct. Found herself homeless at 18, lived in a shelter for a bit and developed a strong tenacity for perseverance and survival which morphed into thrival. She couldn’t birth children and she is a mom to 3 amazing young adults she raised from infancy. She experienced a painful divorce, gave up a lot, and further developed the strength, courage & capacity to overcome, persevere and reinvent herself. She got injured at work, developed painful physical conditions, went on disability, was laid off from where she worked for 10 year and was able to be home to take raise her kids. She developed a narcotic dependency, went to a treatment facility, has been narcotic free for years, went to ministerial school and is now a licensed minister. Her mom was diagnosed with cancer. The medical prognosis is not hopeful. Goodness and grace continues to be revealed and experienced through this situation and circumstance. You see, one never knows the good that will come from something that looks ugly and feels funky. It’s what we do with what shows up that makes the difference in how we walk through what we are going through. With whatever it is that shows up today, or whatever it is that you are currently walking through, trust, know, and believe that there is good in it and good is yours to have and experience. Use your inner translating power to unwrap the blessing in the messy and to see the gifts, the goodness. Fortify your faith and allow it to show you the way. Trust that the pathway is revealed and your steps are ordered. Allow courage to move you to and through each step, a step at a time, a day at a time. Know that everything necessary and required to get through what you are going through is provided, in full measure, right on time, with, in and as ease and grace. Let love be your compass and your healing balm. May you recognize and experience the gifts and the blessings within the thing that isn’t wrapped very pretty. May your life overflow with glory, goodness and grace. May forgiveness, love, compassion, graciousness, generosity, courage, and gratitude be the vitamins for your soul. May you discover the pot of gold in the midst of the storm. May you be happy now and for all eternity.
